Over the years, Kamaljeet Chawla has held several significant leadership and public service positions, including President of Youth Congress, Ward No. 2, Kurali, General Secretary of Youth Congress at the Block, District, and Punjab levels, Chairman of the Punjab Youth Congress Sports & Culture Cell, Vice Chairman of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Sports Cell, and Secretary of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC). He has also served as a Member of the Central Board of Film Certification (Government of India), Member of the Food Corporation of India (FCI), Chairman of the PPCC Grievance Cell, Chairman of the Public Coordination Cell, Punjab Pradesh Congress, and Vice Chairman of the Punjab Gau Seva Commission. Through these diverse roles, he has consistently worked towards public welfare, organizational development, and strengthening community engagement.
